Highlands Soccer Association will cover costs associated with:

To claim, please keep all receipts. You will be asked to submit them to HSA following successful referee registration. Reimbursements are processed with your first match fees.

Highlands Soccer Association (HSA) is actively recruiting new referees for the upcoming season.

Whether you’re a current player, former player, parent, or completely new to the game – refereeing is a flexible and rewarding way to stay involved in football.

How to Get Started

Step 1: Register for a learner account at https://rego.prd.letsplayfootball.au/participant/product-details/66163772

Note: This may take up to four business days to process. Each participant must register for the Learner package using their own email address.



Step 2: If you are 18 years or older, you must obtain a “Paid Employee” Working With Children Check (WWCC). Information on how to apply can be found at: https://www.service.nsw.gov.au/transaction/apply-working-children-check

 

Step 3: Within 4 days of completing step 1, you should receive an email confirming your registration has been approved. You will now be able to log into https://learn.footballaustralia.com.au/ via the “Football Account” option.

Once you’ve logged in, click “Training Library” on the left-hand side and then select the “View Courses” button under “Referee Community”.

Then click to enrol in the Laws of the Game & Junior Match Official (13yrs). At time of writing, the cost of this course is $33.


Step 4: Complete the Laws of the Game & Junior Match Official course through eTrainu (as registered in Step 3).

 

Step 5: Register for & attend an in-person recap & practical session.
HSA’s next in-person practical is;

July 27th 2026      6:30pm-9:30pm
Church Ave Clubhouse, Moss Vale

Note: This will be the final course facilitated by the HSA for 2026.

Important: You must have completed the required prerequisites before registering & attending the in-person recap & practical session, including completing the online “Laws of the Game & Junior Match Official (13yrs)” course.

Note: Your place is only secured when registered for the session through etrainu.

On successful completion, we will contact you with instructions to register as an HSA Referee through Playfootball, obtain bank account information for payment of match fees, obtain sizing for uniforms, and arrange access to Dribl.
